Though originally from southern California, Shelly was born and raised in Colombia, South America, the daughter of missionary parents. She and her family moved back to the United States when she was 16. She received a B.A. in Cross Cultural Communications and Language Analysis, her R.N. from Georgia Perimeter College, and B.S.N. from Jacksonville University.

Shelly worked for one year in Pediatric Oncology at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and 15 years in Day Surgery at Eastside Medical Center. She trained in aesthetic facial rejuvenation at The Aesthetic Institute in Atlanta, Georgia.
Shelly Mauldin is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with more than 25 years of experience in healthcare. After a successful career as a registered nurse, she pursued advanced training as an APRN and now specializes in aesthetic medicine.
Shelly founded Dermal Knowledge to bring her passion for skin health, beauty, and wellness directly to her community. At her practice, she provides expert treatments including Botox, dermal fillers, medical weight-management, and advanced skin therapies. Known for her meticulous technique and patient-centered approach, Shelly combines clinical expertise with an artistic eye to deliver natural, rejuvenated results. She values building lasting relationships with her patients and takes pride in creating a welcoming, supportive environment.
Outside of her practice, Shelly enjoys time with her family—especially her new granddaughter—and her spunky French Bulldog. She also loves relaxing at the beach, where she finds balance and inspiration. Her dedication to both her patients and loved ones reflects the compassion and commitment that define her work.
